Church World Service (CWS)

Each fall, in support of CWS, First Presbyterian Church collects school supplies and sews school bags for children in the U.S. and around the world in need.

Mission Starfish Haiti

The church supports a student at the Mission Starfish Haiti school, which opened in Gonaives, Haiti (a city of 300,000 about 80 miles north of Port-au-Prince) in 2012. The school continues to grow and now educates and cares for the needs of more than 400 students.

Yucatan Peninsula Mission (YPM)

YPM is committed to serving the needs of the Mayan/Mexican people in the Zona Maya region of the Yucatan Peninsula. Members and friends of FPC have traveled to Leona Vicario, Quintana Roo, Mexico, (about an hour southwest of Cancun) five times since 2009 to help build a school there. The school-in-progress will be the first one within one hour’s radius of the area. Our goal is to return every other year until the school is complete.
